Nutty

Nutty is a 20-year-old American with a yellow diamond-shaped marking on his hair. He has a strong addiction to candy or anything sweet, indicating that he has a sweet tooth. He always has a big swirly lollipop, a small all-day sucker, and a candy apple stuck to his hair. Additionally, he has a candy cane affixed to his chest, which he treats as part of his wardrobe. This is evident in the episode "Chew Said a Mouthful" where he is shown not only dressing in them but also taking great care in straightening his candy cane, similar to a tie. However, there are times when he simply eats them outright, as observed in the episode "Nuttin' Wrong with Candy". In Nutty's debut episode, "Nuttin' Wrong with Candy", he consumes the swirly lollipop on his head and consequently loses the candy attached to his hair. This marks the first time Nutty is seen without any candy stuck to him. It is clearly noticeable that his googly eye has a condition called amblyopia, commonly known as a lazy eye. His lazy eye is almost always looking down and drops further down whenever he looks in a different direction. It also jitters and bounces around occasionally. However, in some episodes, he appears to be able to control it, especially when he focuses on an object. Due to animation errors, Nutty's lazy eye and candy often change positions, similar to the inconsistency with Lumpy's antlers. For example, in the episode "Icy You", his lazy eye is initially his left eye, but when he notices the slushy machine, it magically becomes his right eye for the remainder of the episode. As a result of his excessive sugar consumption, Nutty is often hyperactive and jittery, giggling more than he speaks. He even giggles while facing mortal danger. He was first heard speaking in the episode "As You Wish" when he expresses his desire for a scrumptious lollipop. Just a single drop of sugar is enough to send him into a hyper state, capable of creating tornado-like movements, reminiscent of a "Tasmanian Devil", as depicted in the episode "Party Animal". When he is deprived of candy or sweets, he sometimes foams at the mouth, which is shown in "Nuttin' Wrong with Candy". The episode "False Alarm" reveals that Nutty can become insane if deprived of candy for an extended period. It also suggests that he is prone to developing new addictions immediately after losing one, implying an addictive personality. Additionally, he briefly feels saddened after finishing his candy. The episode "False Alarm" also showcases Nutty's inclination to overindulge in candy. When in the presence of a large quantity of candy, he tends to eat to the point where it jeopardizes his well-being. In the "Second Serving" DVD, he even has his own breakfast cereal named "Sugar Frosted Nutty Honey", which, ironically, contains very few cereal pieces, with the picture on the box showing a stack of sugar instead. Nutty primarily appears in episodes that revolve around candy, except for the episode "Eye Candy", where Toothy is featured instead. There are rumors that Nutty had already been prominently featured in another episode, leading to this casting choice for "Eye Candy". Nutty survives in only a few TV episodes such as "Doggone It" (although not seen, only heard), "A Change of Heart", and "In a Jam". In the internet shorts, he manages to survive in "Nuttin' but the Tooth", "I Get a Trick Out of You", "Out of Sight, Out of Mime", "A Sucker for Love Part 1", "Something Fishy", and "Camp Pokeneyeout". Furthermore, he survives in "Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm" (episode), "Milk Pong", and the HTF Break short "Bite Sized".
