Petunia
Petunia, a 20-year-old Caucasian with distinctive hair markings, is prominently featured as one of the primary characters in the popular series Happy Tree Friends. She is often recognized by her sky-blue arrow-shaped marking on the front of her hair, which is connected to a triangle-shaped marking on the back. Petunia consistently wears a pink flower on the left side of her head and carries a pine scent car air freshener or deodorizer around her neck. Her hobbies include playing with dolls and strollers, as well as hosting tea parties with her friends. Petunia has a close friendship with Giggles, and they frequently run a lemonade stand together, play together, and exercise together. Her romantic interests have included both Mime and Handy, although she appears to be closer to the latter, as evidenced in My Better Half and I Nub You. In My Better Half, they are seen enjoying a "Tunnel of Love"-ride, and in I Nub You, they begin dating. Petunia strongly dislikes Disco Bear, more so than Giggles does, as she becomes annoyed when he persistently tries to flirt with her. For most of the internet series, Petunia and Giggles had nearly identical personalities. However, in the TV series, the creators introduced obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) into her character. Specifically, she is a "neat freak" and has mysophobia; she takes five showers per day as revealed in the "Collect Them All" section, and if things are either dirty or out of place, she begins to hyperventilate (even if it's somewhere other than her house or on herself). She will do anything to clean it up again. In Socks To Be You, she is seen hyperventilating while sorting her socks with a paper bag. Petunia has been depicted as a damsel in distress in several episodes, including House Warming, Gems the Breaks, Who's to Flame?, Dunce Upon a Time, and Read 'em and Weep. She is also a Girl Scout, as seen in Read 'em and Weep. Whenever Petunia consumes too much alcohol, she experiences an urgent need to use the bathroom intensely, as demonstrated in Happy Trails Pt. 1 and Wingin' It (in Happy Trails, she even urinates herself just before her demise). Petunia's deaths are considered by viewers to be some of the most gruesome in the series or even the most gruesome. Some of these deaths include having her face pressed against a burger grill by Fliqpy in Flippin' Burgers, being flattened by Cro-Marmot in Snow What? That's What!, being sucked through the drain of a sink in Wingin' It, having her organs impaled and popped out by bed springs in Hello Dolly, being burned to a skeleton in Who's to Flame?, getting eaten by a piranha in Something Fishy, and having her bottom half skinned and then being ripped apart and consumed by a demon in Read 'em and Weep. Her deaths usually involve her head exploding or being crushed or burned or kitchen hardware like sinks. While she dies frequently in internet episodes, she survives more often in TV episodes. In House Warming, Meat Me for Lunch, You're Bakin' Me Crazy, I Get a Trick Out of You, Swelter Skelter, Put Your Back Into It, Dream Job, Stealing the Spotlight (debatable), Ski Ya Wouldn't Wanna Be Ya! (debatable), and Just Be Clause (debatable), Petunia survives. In the TV series version of Ipso Fatso, Gems the Breaks (debatable), A Change of Heart, Wipe Out! Mime to Five (debatable), and Easy Comb Easy Go (debatable), she also survives. In YouTube Copyright School (debatable), Disco Bears It All (debatable), and HTF Break short Take Your Seat (debatable), she also survives. She is the first victim of The Mole (Giggles), Giggles (Cro-Marmot), Lammy/Mr. Pickels (both), and Toothy (TV series).
